Look, I ALSO liked the Mario Movie, and admittedly, it was actually pretty fun to watch!
Even though I enjoyed, there were some parts of it where I was like: ???
(I.e Mario hating Mushrooms, Peach almost being like a Mary Sue, etc.)
Look, both movies have some parts with bad writing. It’s kind of the case for EVERY movie, and all 3 Sonic Movies + The Mario Movie are no exception. But you don’t have to act like there wasn’t ANY good in the Sonic movies,

So Sonic Rumble (it’s STILL not out here in the US :( ) just got a new update, and that includes a new Police Costume for Sonic.

You see, back in December 1991, a now (kind of?) obscure arcade game was released in Japan, and Japan ONLY. (Sorry, everyone else!)
The game in question? It was titled “Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car”.

The point of the game is to have Sonic patrol the streets, and keep the city and its populace safe from Dr. Robotnik.
Due to it exclusively being released in Japan, not much is really known about it anywhere else. So to see Sega randomly acknowledge it almost 34 years later is quite surprising.

2. His ANNOYING friends.
If having to deal with him was enough, imagine having to deal with MULTIPLE friends of his, who mostly have the same abilities as him, ruining YOUR plans. It’s unfair, unpleasant, and just… bothersome.
3. Imagine a world without Sonic.
Just thing about it for a moment. The Eggman Empire ruling over everything! You won’t have to eat, breath, or think EVER AGAIN! No more having to deal with the threat of being destroyed by a spindash. No more of having to hear “you’re too slow” over and over!
It sounds perfect. Like paradise.
