I actually think they are mid.

Remember when I made a Sonic game tier list and I said that CD's special stages annoy me cos of a shadow placement? Well take that and replace it with boxes of rings and spheres that really annoy someone like me who enjoys simpler special stages.

There's some elements I enjoy and Mania is a solid A tier but the special stages do drag it down just a touch

I can't stand them. It's just so pointless and to fit in with a franchise like Sonic, I'm very against that.

But here? Sonic is literally one of the last people left by the end of this. He saw Charmy, Cheese, Chocola and the rest of his friends get infected and the only thing he could do was run. At least in the last two games he had help but he can't even do that because he's powerless.
