Those are some awesome ideas for the future! I've noticed a small pattern in the series. Always one more introduction than the last.

Familiar Introductions:

Sonic the Hedgehog 1:

1. Sonic & Robotnik (The never changing duet)

Sonic the Hedgehog 2:

1. Tails

2. Knuckles

Sonic the Hedgehog 3:

1. Shadow/Super Shadow

2. Maria

3. Gerald

And now Sonic the Hedgehog 4:

1. Amy Rose

2. Metal Sonic

3. ? (Cream & Cheese)

4. ?? (Rouge the Bat)

(And hopefully Sonic the Hedgehog 5:

1. Silver the Hedgehog

2. Blaze the Cat

3. Vector the Crocodile

Something that would be absolutely epic in my vision for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 that would top everything would be if... if... if... SHADOW LIVED WITH SONIC AND HIS FRIENDS!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! That would be unlike anything else in the franchise. Sonic and Shadow roommates!
