Unlike Sonic Spinball (which is canon), Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine is non-canon because of two reasons:
1) it was obviously set in the AoSTH universe. (Meaning design-wise and setting-wise, it is based on the show, even though fairly despite the fact that Sonic & Tails are not in it.)
2) Robotnik is an absolute strategic pro at Puyo-Puyo. Now look at him during the Chemical Plant Act 2 boss fight in Sonic Mania… Can’t have that inconsistency in the timeline.
@DaveMan1000 The point is that there’s no reason for Snively to be part of the Game/IDW universe.
Because Unlike Sally, Bunnie, Rotor, Muttski, Scratch, & Cluck who retroactively had canon game counterparts in Sonic Spinball; Snively doesn’t retroactively have a canon game counterpart, & His role is already filled by Orbot, Cubot, & Dr. Starline. Understood?
@ILikeSonic80904FDNew Dr. Starline (Just like Orbot & Cubot) also fills Snively's role in the IDW Sonic Comics, & the IDW Comics are canon to the games.
If read the comics & look at all of his appearances, You can literally tell that Dr. Starline is literally the answer to both Snively (Satam & Archie) & Grimer Wormtongue (Fleetway StC) combined.
Dr. Starline is loyal & competent to Dr. Eggman before, until later on, he becomes a "starscream-ing” backstabber in an attempt to become Eggman’s equal, but failed miserably.
@Aosth Sonic Spinball is canon, so even with characters like Sally, Bunnie, Rotor, Muttski, Scratch, & Cluck appearing; these are retroactively their canon game counterparts.
And there are 16 chaos emeralds instead of the established 7, but since all these emeralds in Spinball are blue, It’s definitely just fake emeralds Eggman created to power up his Veg-O-Fortress on Mount Mobius. In retrospect, It will just be the first attempt of someone making a fake chaos emerald before SA2 uses that concept again.
