Welp, RiP Sonic franchise…/j
Also, to everyone here who thinks this is directly tied to IDW Sonic's timeline in any way, remember that most comic crossovers with DC aren't canon to either series.
^Mini-modding…first time I heard of the word. Weird that it isn't allowed, but okay.
^Just wondering but why was my earlier comment deleted?
Crash Bandicoot.
I mean we shouldn't just generalize and assume the whole Mario fanbase are less chill then Sonic fans because of a small mishap at the Mario wiki's DB, but okay.🤷♂️
I also noticed now that you pinged ZeoSpark earlier. I didn't know he used to be active around here as well. Maybe you can talk it out with him? Let him know there's no hard feelings.
^That won't help you then if you ever plan to make another poll over there. Like I said, the Mario wiki mods are strict.
@Mystic Monkey : I can only guess here but it may have to do with the fact that you used Simpsons gifs for the poll. The Mario FANDOM wiki mods are very strict when it comes to "off-topic" content and topics in the disscussion board over there (even moreso then what we are in here). I don't think they would have removed the poll had you used images of Mario and Sonic instead.
EDIT: Just like with @CZ official, I only now noticed the blood in the "Enemies" gif. That was likely another factor for the poll's revomal as the Mario wiki mods are also very serious about that stuff.
I like Vanilla but it makes no sense for her to appear at all at this point, especially without Cream.
Friendly rivals is good enough for me.
Amazing artwork.🤩
Cursed content….that still somehow is amazing.😳😆
@NewMarioBobFan: He already had a few.
If you mean specifically a crossover game just between the two IPs I don't see any need unless it can bring some unique, entertaining idea for the gameplay.
Oppose. I don't know anything about you (I read what Spark wrote above but that doesn't say much).
^Sakurai does care about Smash but at the same time he's fully aware he can't direct the series forever as it will eventually carry on without him in the foreseeable future, which is why he still continues being in disscussions with Nintendo for a suitable successor.
He has also already stated atleast two-three times before next Smash is unlikely to be as big as Ultimate, roster-wise, and thats fine because the reality is that roster cuts are inevitable.
Beyond just being compatible on the Switch 2, Ultimate doesn't (and shouldn't) need to be upgraded to further content as the original version ended on a "complete" note in a way that was very special, no pun intended (thinking about Ultimate's Japanese title).
As for your idea of a Smash x Sega, well thats fine and all but I remember once a few years back that you mentioned it was also filled with the other 3rd-parties that aren't Sega.
I don't know if you changed your mind on that particular part or not since then but if not then respecfully, I still don't believe thats a fair take as that would just be seen as a huge favoritism on Sega's part (same if it was any other 3rd-party company in place of Sega).
In anycase it probably still be several years from now til we get the next Smash as Sakurai is all in the Kirby Air Ride sequel.
IDW, Prime, and some of the Sonic Channel media being canon.
Smash 6 will for sure happen, with or without Sakurai. I don't see them re-releasing Ultimate for Switch 2.
As for an actual Sonic newcomer in the next Smash, that needs to happen regardless of who it is at this point. Heck I even take someone real 'infamous' like Zavok.
Spring Yard Zone, Seaside Hill, and Mirage Saloon Zone.
^You got pinged by @Spark The Groundhog but I believe he meant to ping @NewMarioBobFan and got you by mistake.
No, that makes no sense.
Yeah, as mentioned in his post Edwin Haung used to work on Archie Sonic as a cover artist. He also did one of the variant covers for IDW Sonic issue 1. He's very good.
