Nice bait, Myself.
Not only were you able to implode the entire community over something extremely trivial, but you were able to make yourself more of a fool for pushing this thread all in the name of the policy. Cry me a river.
There was still another way of contacting me, that was through the official SNN Discord. Your "last resort" narrative is null.
Furthermore, to those requesting me respond to these claims - that's unfortunate! I'm not gonna reply to any of your messages because the thread just closed :^)
I'm still going to leave. I'm still going to close my *own* threads. Therefore, if you guys are going to pester me with something so insignificant....
To reply to a doctor's note, it said: "you got btfoed"
all according to keikaku
I won't lie, I've been quite annoyed ever since I saw what happened to my Site Discussion forum
Your proposal was already implemented once I closed the related thread.
If it's an elaboration of a existing ruleset, it did not need an entire thread dedicated to said issue.
You have approximately 10 people against you, Luma, and Myself.
I'm not implying it should be closed early, but isn't the above a clear sign of a consensus?
The majority is already doing a great job explaining a simple point that you two can't get over your head. Might as well catch up on what Hedge said.
"do me and everyone else a favor and keep your mouth shut."
Cry me a river.
Myself, Gen, you're wasting everyone's time by aruging a point on a thread with a formed consensus.
Who are you to tell Speeder to shut up?
Ignoring a problem won't resolve it.
Putting one's role on the line will resolve it.
The YouTube channel isn't created under Wikia.
The Twitter account isn't created under Wikia.
The Discord server isn't created under Wikia.
Should I go on?
This has nothing to do with politics, this is about an admin acting out of line. Actions that still aren't being addressed, by the way.
Oh ho ho! It's not even Christmas yet.
Considering this is still an active demotion thread, it has *everything* to do with wiki politics.
And usual to SNN standards, the only time to address one's actions is when one's role is on the line.
Because what the wiki needs is to lose another vital adminstrator.
Amazing effort, team. Putting out the 110%.
You clearly stated that everything you made for the wiki will disappear if you lose your rights, that is a threat.
Wouldn't leaving or self-demotion be easier than this self-sabotage?
Perhaps that's just me.
I was clarifying.
You said I'll continue the Twitter account if I'm demoted.
So I *clarified* what will happen if a demotion were to occur.
If you want to misinterpret it as a threat to fit your narrative, go ahead.
It appears there needs to be a clarification.
"What will be resolved if Journalistic is demoted?"
"I see nothing about removing him from managing the Twitter account."
"I doubt Journalistic would resign his duties of social media to someone less knowledgeable than him."
If the admins (yes, only admins, the community already is opposing 10 to 3) decide to demote me, all of the accounts and properties that are under my jurisdiction, both on and off the wiki, will permanently disappear. You can kiss goodbye to the highly popular social media division, the affiliates, the wiki look and it's festive colours I've crafted from the heart for more than three years. The consequences will not be pretty.
"I'm saying if he were to lose his user rights, that wouldn't prevent him from managing the wiki's Twitter account."
Very incorrect. I will not have the motivation to operate the Twitter account sharing the name with the wiki that shun me to the highest degree. You are taking me and my work for granted.
"And don't act like being demoted from your rank of Administrator is irreversible -- it isn't."
It is. I'm not going to waste my time rebuilding myself. If you have the guts to demote me, I will pack my bags and leave. Simple as that.
Journalistic, do me a favor and close this thread like how people were overreacting about you closing threads earlier for me pleaee.
Shutting users down and preventing progress of the wiki via the closure of site discussions is fine though.
And this irreverable demotion you created is a good counter too.
It would be preferrable if he did communicate a bit better and stop closing ongoing threads but I still feel he's done a good job and can be even better should we give him a second chance.
The fact DeCool has a better initiative than this entire overreaction called a demotion is stunning.
You can, and I guess you feel like you have.
You were attempting to stop me and you have succeeded.
Are you anymore pleased with the result?
Myself 123 wrote: Non of that has anything to do with how you're acting now. Your current actions are intolerable for an admin.
Apparently, a demotion - a powerful and irreversible action - are the only way to get Myself's point across.
This is a demotion thread from what I remember. I can't provide a reason *why* I should not be demoted?
Ultrasonic9000 wrote: I have been thinking about that, but it is hard for me to make that call. It is no exactly because his judgement calls are wrong, they are just hard to understand. I think the main issue is just how hard it is to get a proper answer out of him.
Absolutely! As a wiki administrator, I was assigned with several tasks to improve the Sonic News Network - and I continue to uphold this standard up til' today. Primarily, I supervise the mobile app of the Sonic News Network, as well as the social media division (named Sonic News Channel) and the overall look of both the Sonic News Network and Sonic News Channel.
In the past 4-5 years of my involvement, the Sonic News Network has seen skyrocketing changes under me. This wiki alongside with it's social media platforms has grown at a tremendous rate with my assistance. We are now the fastest growing source for Sonic news and information, with more than 2 million impressions on Twitter *alone*. On the Sonic SXSW panel, we were easily the most trusted source of Sonic news and information. Additionally, Sonic News Network's affiliates, Tails' Channel and TSSZ News, has greatly benefited from the work of the wiki and the social media platforms, thanks to my contributions.
Focusing on the wiki, I have done great things that this wiki enjoys to this day. I am responsible for the direction of the SNN 10 Years inivative, which saw the rebranding of the Sonic News Network and social media division, with my support. Plus, I have unveiled brand new features for the wiki, including an updated chat policy ruleset, a new home page, and updated the wiki to its festival colours for Valentines Day, Halloween, Christmas and April Fools. All of this was accomplished with my help.
Everyone knows that I am dedicated to this wiki. I have been brought back from a ban because the people knew that I was of great benefit.
There's so many things I've done with this wiki and I've poured countless hours to polish this great place. If I were to leave - god forbid being demoted- this wiki will suffer a staggering blow that everyone, including you Myself, will regret for as long as you can remember.
Myself needed to create something in order to kill time, anyways.
