I think they just left out some of the most inconsequential games because they don't really change or add anything that'll stick around, so they didn't feel a need to mention them, they're definitely still canon though because Secret Rings is mentioned in Generations.
Probably a little lower than Sonic 3, considering they don't have Shadow and two Eggmen (Eggmans?) to push the marketing campaign.
To be honest, Rouge's voice in SA2 is still the only one that I particularly like, though Heroes isn't that bad.
It's Metal Sonic for sure, but I've never really understood why Espio is so popular either.
Even then Mania worked as a once off thing, but pushing him after that with Forces and Superstars clearly hasn't been working.
Ah yeah, it was Mission Mode that I never bothered with, I did finish Trial Mode and get all 130 Emblems.
I'm gonna go against the crowd here and say absolutely not, there's no way Metal Sonic could carry his own game, nor does he need his own year. The Year of Shadow made sense because it was bringing Shadow back into the spotlight after years of absence and to familiarize and recap everyone with his lore before Sonic 3 released.
Metal on the other hand was never really an important character to begin with, just another badnik that appeared occasionally and had a big role in Heroes specifically, only to have his free will stripped immediately after.
Characters like Silver and Blaze definitely deserve their own game more, as there's lot more potential to expand there and their goals aren't just 'destroy Sonic'.
Really? I unlocked Metal Sonic on the Gamecube back in 2017 and it didn't make me finish the missions to do it.
Yes, that game is an underrated gem.
And I also picked it up from C.E.X. (Computer Entertainment Exchange btw) like 6 years ago lol.
He exists for the sole purpose of scratching the nostalgia itch of older fans in the 2010s, which made sense at the time I guess (not that he was ever accurate to the source), but they've dragged it along way too far now, and honestly, I hope the failure of Superstars shows them that.
@Larissa Andrews Hey, commenting on a post that has been inactive for more than 28 days is considered necroposting, which is against the guidelines.
Complaining about another fanbase like that while being in the Sonic fanbase is kinda wild ngl.
Humans were always supposed to be a part of the world, but only a handful of characters were in the classic games and they didn't really have any reasons to make more appear at the time. All the extended media from the 90s has humans in it though.
Probably accept my fate, but I'd at least try to reason with Shadow, and I'd ask him why he's coming after me specifically.
Because it simply wasn't good to many fans.
Yes
Yes
No, Metal is a copy of Sonic but he isn't wearing anything.
No
No idea
Only time will tell.
Seemingly newer fans who hadn't seen the bootleg Metal Sonic plush before and think it's the greatest thing ever, otherwise I honestly don't know.
Very unlikely, and a direct remake would be kinda pointless, but a reimagined Sonic Synergy could be cool.
Very unlikely, but I'd like to see Gamefam get some sort of punishment.
Not sure
Up to you, I gave it a try and was very positively surprised, but don't go into it expecting a masterpiece, and make sure to save just before Wave Ocean.
Here's mine:
@DaveMan1000 That's true, but it did irreversible damage to them and they had to redo the entire company.
Well yeah, but that's about the same as them just making '06 good, which wasn't really possible under the circumstances they were given.
@D. Schrute If they made Adventure 3 instead they likely would've had the exact same outcome because they'd still have to put up with all of the development issues that plagued them during 06's development.
