Hey, long time no see. I bought some new colouring pens the other day. Two of them are Cobalt Blue and Pale Blue, which helped me colour in Werehog to showcase his true wrath.
On the other side, unfortunately the ink blended while I tried to incorporate techniques for Chaos 's drawing on the other side by adding paint. The paper quality isn't that good in comparison to other art books.
Because I wasn't sure whether I wanted to ping them or not.

In case you're wondering, I will continue to do my role as admin on the Pokémon Wiki. I feel it's important to keep at least one accolade of trust and I have a good relationship with the current fan-base and staff team there.

As a follow up to this thread, it's clear that the discussions community of this wiki is now going in a direction which isn't suitable for me at this point. The humour and jokes that some of our current admins provide from time-to-time, while a pleasure to have for others, is one of those things that makes my heart sink and something I found difficult to tolerate.
Also, I was brought to this thread via casually browsing cross-wiki Special:Search for posts, and got overwhelmed by the comments on both proposal threads and on the following day made an impulsive decision, which was rightfully brought up by @SilverPlays97 , and that has happened before on a proposal with a different date too. My habit of locking posts early, especially in forum areas which I'm not particularly active on, exploits one of my biggest weaknesses as Thread-Mod.
@/CZ Official, for a user who like to engage with people, I'm impressed with your maturity and responsibility. You do seem to be willing to listen to criticism and questions. You've got momentum on your side and I think you'll do a fine job as disc-mod. @SplashFactor is another consideration too, along with @/DaveMan1000, @/Ilovejamaa74, @Mozartmanz , @Greatsong1 and @Spark The Groundhog . Also shout out to @Josiahblaze , whose been around as long as I have, who will become Bureaucrat, congrats on your upcoming promotion!
I'm still proud to make a major influence on discussions, and everyone that has influenced me. I, along with the other Disc-Mods, also collaborated with SilverPlays back in March 2023 to add rules #13, #14, #15 and #16 of the current guidelines. Feel free to propose changes or clarifications to these rules if you wish to.
Of course, it also hurts to lose these rights as I won't be able to view deleted messages or posts from this wiki, which is one of my skills, but what I won't receive anymore is report notifications; that's the distraction that's plagued me especially while I'm focusing on other established areas of the fandom.
Sorry about this shock decision. I may return from time to time to post my colouring art but I think moving on is best for me for the time-being. I'm approaching my mid-thirties now and I know a lot more about my own capabilities and limits.

The theme itself should be, but the TSR track layout for that one is a bit long, dull and too easy against the AI.

Anyway, I feel that I need an uninvolved thread-mod to lock the post, as I spent enough time on this thread rn.
We (Fox and I) seem to be at different crossroads here. I'm talking about the rules being there because of what the staff are able to cope with.
I only just seen Burger's response now, and given his recent experience he seems to have a clear view around the disadvantages of the fanfic policy removal, so I "Oppose". And Fox, I suggest now's the time for you to start listening to others.

I'm seeing a ton of "Policy removal" posts on our live feed. Just a reminder that each wiki discussions board has different groups of staff that have different tolerances to dealing with various types of posts. We can't all join one person's bandwagon.
"Proposing a removal of a Policy Rule" completely extinguishes the restriction that was originally put into the guidelines earlier because the staff already noticed a problem with such topics.
I always opposed rps on this wiki back then, because primarily of staff shortages and unnecessary clog of the Social Activity Log. But soon realised what I did on another wiki that once Rps returned they proved to be a hit with that fanbase and we found a reliable way to implement them successfully.
On this wiki though we'd probably need an agreement with the admins (and other experienced users); are they willing to deal with any troublesome users that create unauthorised roleplays or disrupt current ones, but not to the point where they'll end up trolling the rest of the wiki because their rp got deleted? Are our staff team willing to cope with the extra busy periods during such activities such as the school holidays? Will rps dominate the Desktop Live Feed (As in, appear on all six links)?
For now, I'm "Neutral", but these are some of the "What ifs" which are pretty significant IMHO.
Just stick to message walls. Off-topic convo isn't appropriate on a Sonic-only discussion.

Whatever happens, keep in mind the desktop's live feed. It displays the six most recent unread posts. It looks OK right now, but one user could potentially post four posts of the same category. That's why we'd enforce this policy to encourage discussions readers to look at a variety of subjects.

When I became disc-mod back in 2021, the 'three posts per day' rule was my original idea to protect our board from spamming of repetitive posts.
I have received stick while enforcing that rule though, as there was one moment where a user had four high-effort posts about a Sonic Movie in 24 hours. Here's what I think of the rule now; as long as you're putting effort into your ideas for posts, you should be OK.
As an alternative option, for any content-style posts you can try submit it on your user blog, though that requires experience with wikitext, uploading files, etc and thus isn't as easy to access unlike discussions.

I just suddenly realised what I think was causing those migraines; I was watching this video for long periods of time. Yep, I'm an avid Sonic Heroes fan, but I guess Long-play plus high-speed gameplay isn't a good mix for your eyes when you're watching it closely on your laptop for an extended period. Guess that's a lesson learned.
Hello, just to update everyone with some sad news. I'm considering stepping away from the Sonic Wiki. Now, just because of this doesn't necessarily mean that I'm relinquishing my thread-mod rights; I still find these useful to view deleted posts from cross-wiki spammers and candidates willing to become thread mods. If anything I appear to be qualified to deserve higher rights, but then again it could potentially lead to what I really want to say, which I'd rather keep locally on people's message walls if they're interested.
On top of that, I'm suffering from migraine, with the attacks, while mild, becoming more frequent as of late. So my general health is not 100% right now. If I find out what's causing it I may be able to adjust and resume normal activity.
Throughout my three years I have played a huge part in shaping the discussion board to what it is today, appointing five other candidates for the Disc-Mod role, four of which were successful. After successfully appointing @ChardonnayBloo more female users have been active since then, and I've helped admins make important decisions to keep the board trouble-free.
The primary reason why I stepped up was to tackle the Sonic.exe posts which had dominated the forums back in mid-2021 (Which is my trigger) until we came to an agreement to enforce a ban on them. I'll just remind any thread-mod candidates on the autism spectrum that there will be things that the more experienced users won't say that you may find difficult - including habits perceived as positive by the majority of people - in which only you'll need to find a way to get on top of. We can't anticipate every trigger a person might have, so remember to step back and speak out if you feel there's something wrong.
Thought I might comment about the wiki's nomination process while I'm there; my stress levels took a major hit after signing up to become a thread-mod; I found the process of allowing other users to comment about you as a person too intrusive, along with the waiting times for... let's say the more "sceptical" ones ...to respond. I tried a nomination for higher rights on another wiki last year but still; regardless of what rights I want, I just couldn't cope mixing that with daily life, and chose to terminate my application early so I could prime my focus on sleep and work. I'd rather not go through that again if I had to consider re-nominating myself for these rights again.
Anyway, there are some good-faith candidates I know that don't have my specific issue who can help @Talking Gina , who is also a mod on multiple wikis, ease her time on the DB at times of the day when she's unavailable to operate.
