Its so annoying to see people acting like its the worst game ever and that sega should be ashamed, when technically, it was microsoft and yuji nakas fault for restricting them and yuji naka for just leaving them

I never actually had problems with the load times, they are not THAT bad and have only frustrated me in the town missions
Yeah, the snowboarding and mach speed sections, on the technical side, are very laughable coming from a triple a company, but if you try not to move left and right and jump at random (LOTS of LPers do this just to make the game look bad), they are VERY fun to play through and capture sonics speed perfectly, and the snowboarding sections are also very fun if you dont go backwards, once again, to make the game look bad
Pace breaking? sonic 06 is probably the fastest adventure game, it almost feels as fast as unleashed wii, thats pretty fast!
Lackluster performances? yeah, maybe for the amigo characters that barely even appear on screen, but sonic and shadow are so well done, sonic is portrayed as this local hero that will stop at nothing to save the town he lives in and shadow, instead of being this angsty edgelord who visits hot topic, he is this secret agent working for GUN and trying to defeat this literal demon overlord! how awesome is that?
The story isnt that hard to follow, sega just wanted to make an action movie plot but with sonic characters, and id say they succeeded, the music is incredible for the cutscenes and the cutscenes involving eggman or mephiles are EXTREMELY SUSPENSEFUL, the intro to mephiles phase 1 is an actual JUMPSCARE
The reason they dont have their own stories is because the game was rushed
The ranking was not unfair, all you need to do is play it like any other sonic game and not play like arin hanson, and youll be fine, think of it as SA3, in fact, just defeat as many enemies or perform as many tricks and youll easily get an S rank, S Ranks are ESPECIALLY satisfying in tropical jungle because you are constantly going so fast in that level that even princess elise is screaming
This isnt a rant against your opinion, this is just a POV from someone who thinks its the best sonic game

Fun fact:i got introduced to sonic on the PS2 through sonic unleashed and sonic heroes when i was about 4, so by the time we had a 360, sonic 06 was pulled from stores, so because of this, i didnt even know what sonic 06 was, so when i searched up sonic 06 out of curiosity, i thought it looked absolutely stunning! and it definately felt good when i got a 360 myself and played it, it had everything i could ever want out of a sonic game and is STILL fun after all this time, and by the way i was born in 2007, so i didnt even get to experience the hype
Anyways, this has to be the most boring poll result ever, 19 CHOSE ROUGE (shes sexy and all, but cmon, everyone knows wave the swallow is waifu! *insert comment getting mad at me despite it being joke*), 3 Chose Wave (You are all wave worshippers now), 3 Chose Zeena (Zeena and Zavok are the only entertaining villains in lost world, the other 4 are so bland its painful), 3 Chose Kotori (She does have a "girl next door" vibe, and she has a very high pitched voice), 1 Chose Nozomi (The one person chose her because she has HUGE honkers, lets be honest), 0 Chose Maki (im surprised at this, maki is literally supposed to be the elegant and stylish one)
