I always had this belief the Belle the Tinkerer is the key to Surge the Tenrec's redemption. I've also took notice of the multiple issues within the IDW series. Surge with her current condition and path of redemption, Sonic content preaching about his moral principals with a smug demeanor, and Shadow being a bias brute with no sign of toning it down. Not to mention 'everyone' focus of their good-go-lucky lives while focusing on the Restoration and its efforts. But with everything going on leading up to Issue 100, with the missing Chaos Emerald and the "new villain" (whom I'm predicting as Dr. Starline returning), I think it's about time everybody gets a wake-up call.
Belle may get a bigger part in the series, starting with the upcoming arc involving Sage. Sometime along the way, she will find out that Dr. Starline use her own source to brainwash Surge and Kitsunami. Unlike Sonic, Belle would feel partly responsible for what happened to them, and feel guilty about it. She would wanna help Surge into becoming a better person and the two can eventually become friends. They have so much in common. They were the creation of mad scientist, they are both part-machine, and they both had their lives ruined by Starline.
Here's a scenario:
Surge battles Sonic and Shadow, and was able to overpower them. This is after she learned Kitsunami went behind her back. It would seem no one would be able to stop her, until Belle steps in. She stands between Surge and the hedgehogs, ignoring everyone telling her to get out of there. She tries talking Surge down, determined of getting through to her. But Surge in a rage tries striking Belle down, but through the pity of what Surge has been through, she keeps picking her self back up and continues walking towards her. No matter how much effort Surge tries of getting rid of her, and no how much damage Belle receives, she just keeps coming, and giving her words of comfort. When she gets closing, all Belle does is meet Surge in a big embrace. With Surge failing to struggle her way out and few more words from Belle, Surge will eventually breakdown, accept surrender, and join Belle in the embrace.
Imagine Omochao was broadcast everything, and showing what happened to the whole world. Showing the real hero is not some "super cool" hedgehog or some highly skilled fighter, but a wooden robot with a heart of gold. It's funny; Surge is an amalgamation of the worst of both hedgehog, and yet Belle would be to convert her by doing something that neither Sonic, or Shadow, not even Dr. Eggman would have done. Nothing big, or stylish, or violent. No Spin Dash, no Chaos Control, no insults, no punches, no speeches, no threats. Just a small, pure, and brave gesture of compassion by someone who really cares. That would have surprise anybody, even the two hedgehog. Especially Kit. Out of all the attempts to making Surge happy, he would have never thought of something like this. Everything they'd do would only make things worse. I think Belle is the least influenced by the Sonic Cycle.
Here's another scenario:
Starline catches wind of this incident and was furious. He would try to destroy Surge for her failure. Belle can notice him, push Surge out of the way, and take the full blast of it. Everyone would be devastated and touched by this moment. Sacrificing herself for a dear friend. It's just like the death of Maria all over again. Plus, this might work in Sega and IDW's favor, since Belle is a machine and not a living person. What Starline does is unforgivable and what Belle does is so moving.
What ever happens in future events in the comics, I just hope it gets better after the worst is over.
Scourge the Hedgehog x Surge the Tenrec (their mutual hatred of Sonic and punkish attitudes being their connectors).
What would an interaction between Surge/or Kit and Zavok be like?
Make obsession for Surge the Tenrec well-being continues, and all the other characters still take her condition for granted. But then I got inspired by a scene from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
In the Cave of Lost Souls, Puss is reunited with his 8 past lives. It also got me thinking of Knuckles' Master Emerald vision in For My Destiny in the IDW 2024 Annual issue.
I've come up with a scenario where there is something like this happening with the Sonic cast, Surge included. A place that shows multiple reflections of different aspects of each character.
Sonic: The Hero, The Adventurer, The Friend...
Tails: The Genius, The Pilot, The Child...
Amy: The Lover, The Helper, The Visionary...
Knuckles: The Warrior, The Guardian, The Treasure Hunter...
But when it is Surge's turn, all the reflections are blank...all but one. The reflection reveals Surge sitting all alone, crying in a patient's gown, repeating to herself "Who am I?". Here is where everyone see that this is the one true Surge. "The Victim". Everything else about her is just...fabricated.
Big shouldnt be allowed in comparison polls, he will always decimate
His supremacy speaks for itself
Everyone knows about Kitsunami going behind Surge’s back. Trying to put the public in danger so that Surge can save them and get praise for being a hero. I have several theories on how he would be exposed and Surge turn against him. One such theory involves the path to Issue 100 and the new villain.
Sonic and Tails have follows the path of the missing Chaos Emeralds. Surge and Kit follows them as well, still deciding whether or not to kill them. Maybe after a fight with each other, our heroes find the villain and is just about to launch his plan with the emeralds. Surge takes this as an opportunity to beat him before Sonic does. But then she is stopped by Kitsunami. In her frustration and confusion, Surge wondered why her partner is getting in the way. Kit wants to let the villain’s plan go through, so that it will pull millions of people at risk, giving Surge the chance to save them all. Kit even confesses his past actions. Surge becomes devastated at this, seeing that Kit has become what she never wanted to be. She followed her own mental programming because she didn’t had a choice, while he had succumb to his.
on their social media, they should post a non-canon manga parodying harem anime with all of Sonic's various love interests (+ other girls he's been shipped with) from various media, My general plot idea for this April Fools parody series would be it would be a short miniseries about Sonic and his friends in high school in a world where there are no villains and everyone lives a relatively normal life but still maybe has their powers and all has their personalities from whatever media they originated (ex: characters from the games have their game personalities, characters from either the IDW or Archie comics have their comic personalities, Tiara is basically how she was in the scrapped draft of Sonic X-Treme where she was basically Female Sonic, and so on), with a bunch of the girls in school going after Sonic in typical harem anime fashion, the thing would clearly be highly non-canon and a for fun alternate universe
Some ideas on how characters could be done in this
Amy as Sonic's childhood friend who's had a crush on him since they were little
Sally as the rich but kind girl who is the class president and just all around brilliant girl who is the daughter of Maximillian Nigel Acorn (a combination of his Archie pre and post genesis wave iterations) who is a successful humanitarian and business owner in this world, with her family having royal themed nicknames (referencing how they are royalty in the continuities where they exist)
Fiona as the school's bad girl delinquent, with a female Banchō aesthetic
Blaze as the serious and hotheaded tsundere girl in class
and the non-love interest characters
Eggman as a self-important, egotistical and antagonistic science teacher (playing off his status as a villain in the main continuity and his usual personality)
Tails as the nerdy, inventor best friend (also maybe have a gag where it's implied he's also going through a similar harem anime parody situation where Cosmo, Cream (older here obviously), Zooey, and Fiona, and maybe Patty from the manga (even if I don't think her & Tails were ever a thing) are all into him too)
will update if I think of more

@ILikeSonic80904FDNew @Aosth Sonic my comic enjoyers
Since I've handed the S&S series over to Aosth, I'm kinda just floating around, doing the occasional comic for the character stuck behind in the universe Silver and Shadow left. Sage is still canonically dead though, but dw, Eggman might revive her maybe.

Surge is really underrated, while scourge is really overrated, and in my opinion, surge is better than scourge
I was searching for metal surge fanart, and the first result was METAL X SURGE FANART! Like, what the frog is this ship? it doesnt make any sense!
what if Surge had her own Sonia and Manic? I know that I want their names to be Kuno and aurelia.
Left to right:
Kuno the middle brother of surge and aurelia and the only male tenrec member of the surge underground. Unlike his sisters, he was raised by an aristocratic foster family, giving him an upper class mentality. He hates getting dirty, is skilled at gymnastics and karate, and possesses superhuman strength, a photographic memory, and the ability to spin in a cyclonic manner. His medallion turns into a keyboard, which can water spray laser blasts from one end, or create a red mist when the keys are played. Kuno has a green motorcycle which can travel as fast as surge running and aurelia’s hover board. He is Sonia’s wicked shift counterpart.
Surge is the eldest sibling and lead singer of many songs performed by the surge Underground. Her medallion turns into a guitar, which can fire laser blasts. As fast as the speed of sound, surge can easily outrun the cops. She also is terrified of water as she cannot swim. Surge wears black and white shoes that allow her to hover over the ground while running.
Aurelia is the youngest sibling. She is a calculating and sarcastic tenrec that was raised by thieves, and is a master of their trade. When aurelia met her siblings, they disapproved of hwe thieving tendencies, but it skills as a lock-pick were greatly appreciated. Aurelia possesses neither surge’s speed nor kuno’s spin-attack, thus making her the only member of the surge Underground who relies on entirely on her medallion for superpowers of her own. Despite her lack of superpowers, her thieving skills proves herself extremely useful to the group from time to time. She is the drummer of the surge Underground. Her medallion turns into drums, which can cause earthquakes; She also has a hover board that is as fast as surge’s running and kuno’s motorcycle. Her medallion's string is red. She is manic’s wicked shift counterpart and unlike her siblings, she is the token good teammate of the surge underground.
