I just can't imagine the horrible smell of sweat build-up on that soft fabric after months of gaming sessions.

18. Maddie and Rachel rescue Sonic (Sonic 2) - An unnecessary, unfunny scene that I always skip.
17. Sonic vs Egg Drones in Tom’s house (Sonic 1) - Not bad, kinda just nothing
16. Sonic vs robbers (Sonic 2) - Great idea for a scene, but too much of a joke and not enough action
15. Bar Fight (Sonic 1) - Cool and funny scene, could have had more to do with the plot
14. Highway chase (Sonic 1) - The first half of this scene showed Sonic’s abilities fully on display, but the part where Tom took over was very unnecessary
13. Sonic vs Knuckles round 1 (Sonic 2) - Great first meetup of Team Sonic
12. Agent Stone vs Egg Drones (Sonic 3) - Major improvement over the previous restaurant scenes
11. Anti-Gravity room fight (Sonic 3) - Underrated, unique scene where Knuckles stole the show.
10. Sonic and Amy vs Metal Sonics (Sonic 3) - Sonic 4 already has a strong first impression
9. Eggman vs Gerald (Sonic 3) - Comedic action done right

5. Sonic vs Knuckles round 2 (Sonic 2) - High-energy, excellently choreographed scene
4. Team Sonic vs the Death Egg Robot (Sonic 2) - Climactic scene that fully shows off Team Sonic’s dynamic
3. Team Sonic vs Shadow (Sonic 3) - Great first exchange between the heroes and villain that showed Shadow’s full power
2. Super Sonic and Super Shadow vs GUN Hunters (Sonic 3) - Fan service-packed climax that uses Live & Learn wisely
1. Super Sonic vs Super Shadow (Sonic 3) - A thrilling, emotional, and exciting standoff that shows just how powerful their Super forms are
Champ, a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie, is voiced in Japan by Masato Nakamura; the composer for Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2 (the games)!
Since I have returned to the Fandom, I think it’s finally time to tell everyone my opinion of Sonic 3, so I would like to do that by comparing it to the other movies. BTW, I haven’t seen the Knuckles series (and don’t plan to because of some of the stuff I’ve heard about it).
4. Sonic the Hedgehog (1996)
This movie is…weird. It has a solid vibe to it that is exemplary of ‘90s culture, so I admire that. The animation is also pretty cool, and some of the action sequences are awesome, especially Sonic vs Metal Sonic. But the story…I don’t know what to even say. It’s pretty forgettable, other than the part where Eggman wanted to marry a 12 year old (who is VERY annoying). The voice acting is also terrible. Sonic’s voice actor did a very sloppy job, Tails’ voice acting was terrible, Knuckles sounded more like Sonic than Sonic did, and Eggman is very forgettable. So in conclusion, this movie can be enjoyable to hardcore fans in a so bad it’s good way, but it has a lot of flaws that cannot be looked over.
3. Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)
This movie was very important to me because it turned me into a true fan of the series, and I can see why: it is a very entertaining movie with a lot to love. They managed to make the action feel like the games, especially in the final chase scene. And of course, Jim Carrey was born to play Robotnik. However, it is far from perfect in my opinion. The plot feels thin and generic, and I feel like there could have been a bit more action. I also feel like Tom’s arc was never interesting and too much of the plot focused on him. It is definitely a fun movie, but it has definitely been topped by its sequels.
2. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022)
This sequel did everything better than the original. Of course, the highlight here is the addition of Tails and Knuckles, both of whom are very well written and acted. With the whole globetrotting adventure, the plot also feels more like a Sonic game plot. There is also a lot more action in this movie, with some of the highlights being the snowboard chase, the temple fight, and the battle against the Death Egg Robot. Unfortunately, there are still a few problems I have with this movie. The biggest one is, of course, the wedding subplot. This movie could definitely have done without it, as it barely had anything to do with the main plot. I also feel like some of the more comedic scenes like the dance scene could have definitely been cut out. But mostly, this is a very solid sequel.
1. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024)
As someone whose favourite video game of all time is Sonic Adventure 2, this movie was everything I wanted and more. First off, it keeps everything that was great about the other movies, like the action, visuals, and good humour, while removing the parts I didn’t enjoy so much, like the human subplots and more cringe humour. And then on top of that, there is a lot of new stuff added. Shadow is done perfectly in this movie. Keanu Reeves was always my pick to play him and he absolutely nailed the character. And that final battle…just wow! The one complaint I have often heard about this movie is that the pacing is too fast, but I disagree with that. I quite liked this movie’s fast pace, as it made the movie feel active the whole time and more productive than the other two. Sonic 3 is now one of my favourite movies of all time and definitely my favourite movie of last year. Let’s just hope they can keep making the series this good.
Netflix send me this yesterday. It’s available now.

I decided to redraw the scene where Sonic is covered in a gray blanket that Tom gave it to him on a boat ride.
