Sonic the Hedgehog (Pre-Super Genesis Wave)

I FINALLY MADE IT TO ISSUE 160. AFTER THE WHOLE TRIP FROM ISSUE 1-159. So i decided to rate each era of Archie.

The Gag Era (1-30,)

Okay, this one is basically just a mix of SatAM, AOSTH, and its own thing and I LOVE this era! It feels more Sonic-y than the one nowadays, the Mohawk, everything about this era, is chef's kiss, also, for some reason the writers simp for Sally, but that's really not important to the story.

The "Serious" era (31-50)

Okay, so I still like this era, even tho they lost Sonic's Mohawk to a much normal design. (very mad >:( anyways) The doomsday stuff is kinda cool, but I don't really like it that much. Thankfully Sally didn't die, because that would've ticked me off alot.

Downfall (60-71)

Yeah, Sonic had a bit of a downfall in these issues, as Robotnik literally was the reason why these comics were decent. Anyways, I couldn't really get interested in these. In fact, this is the worst Archie era, even the "Slap" was better.

The E.G.G.M.A.N Era. (72-159)

Speaking of the slap, this is the era where the slap happens. This era is the best and the craziest era of Archie...

I love it. It's bonkers, like issues 125-149, Sonic gets sent across the universe, and lands in an alien planet, and he has to escape, and he meets, well, aliens, its freaking crazy and its better than the "Growing Pains/Downfall" era of archie, in fact, this might be the best era yet! Also, Angel Island gets sent into space, and one last thing:

We get to see Goku Antoine, hot take, this is the best era (Aside from the Gag Era) of Archie before the Modern Era. 10/10.

Like we have Sally having attachment issues, now I haven't really read Knux that much, but Knuckles freaking dies and gets revived AND Knux loses his powers, Sonic travels across space and goes to another planet, while sonic is in another planet, Knothole turns into a City and a war happens, everyone thinks Sonic is dead, Sonic gets an alien language chip implanted in him, and he learns the language of non-speaking animals and aliens, like muttski, he returns to mobius, Robotnik has Robot children like A.D.A.M, the war ends, the slap happens, and Angel Island is in space. Oh, and Archie actually has a decent art style, only for the poorly written issues tho :/. also, titan tails.

Ken Penders was not the person to give Sonic's middle name "Maurice." It is actually Michael Gallagher; as he was the writer for Sonic the Hedgehog Miniseries #0. (the issue where this image came from.)

I have no idea why people hate the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie Comics when they use the comics for power scaling. Can someone explain why people are like this way?

Random unnamed fish, in a world where Mobian sea creatures are not anthropomorphic. It is a ripe lemon yellow fish with reddish-orange fins & lips with black spots on his back with black eyes. All we know about it is that it is a fish that can likely keep up with Sonic underwater when he's going at Sub-Sonic Speed (at this time, Sonic was fine swimming underwater).

This will include every character, including characters without names (who I will name to make things easier for documentation) and joke characters (such as Michael J. Fox, who has appeared less than one percent of the time). I will send work in progresses every now and then, and then I will make posts on Archie original characters who don't have wiki pages yet.
