Sonic 06 is said to be the worst Sonic game ever made, and it is bad.... but... maybe not the worst. Rise of Lyric is said to be the worst 3D game of all time. To make things worse, it was exclusive to Wii-U, which was a failed Nintendo console.
P-06 made Sonic 06 actually good...
Anyone think the same could be done for Rise of Lyric? Or is it so bad it's just a lost cause?
Happy (belated) birthday to Silver the Hedgehog, Princess Elise the Third and Mephiles the Dark !
Even the worst Sonic games have such great music.
Like, honestly. If there's ONE thing that's been consistent throughout the series, it's that the music in ANY game slaps. Even in the bad games like 06, you can tell they seriously tried when it comes to music.
Sonic Teams Kazuyuki Hoshino Shun Nakamura and Katsuyuki Shigihara were all present at a special Indonesian Sonic fan meet event and they revealed a few tidbits about the long-running franchise.
One of the things noted was that Shun Nakamura, who was the producer behind the recent Sonic X Shadow Generations, reiterated to the fans that he would love to remake the disastrous Sonic 06, which launched on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in November 2006. He said all older Sonic games are on the table.
Question: Since Silver doesn’t really appear that much after 06, do you think he should get another lead game? Or should he just remain a background character?

Solaris, the Sun God of Soleanna, the Living Flame, and an Extradimensional creature. Worshiped as a God of the people of Soleanna, understandably so. This creature is capable to manipulate time, warp through space, devour timelines and dimensions, and exist throughout all timelines in all pasts, presents, and futures. We all know that originally the Flame itself was experimented on for the more selfish of reasons, using its own power for the people. The project was a complete failure. Splitting in half, resulting the iconic evil and manipulative Mephiles, and the ferocious calamity, Iblis.
But, to what extent can we dig deeper to understand this being, it's origin is unclearly variable. Well, to be honest, I don't think we can figure out its origin. But I think we can understand it in the present sense, think of Solaris as a complete puzzle as we focus on its pieces: Mephiles and Iblis. Both of them are the sole embodiment that makes up this God, Mephiles being the mind and will, and Iblis being the soul and raw power of Solaris. The characterizations of both of them are clear. We can assume that Solaris as a person... is just terrible, pure evil because of Mephiles' existence as being the mind and will, and with great power with a mind like that is more than considered dangerous. I will not say he is evil because of the experiment, according to Mephiles' personality and motive from being split, he was already considering murder of a person, Shadow, stealing his form for his own gain. Almost seemingly he, as Solaris, had done something like this before or at least wanted to prior to being awakened and split. Mephiles craves destruction, loves to manipulate people, kill anyone he wants because he wants to. He could have fused with Iblis in the future, but he didn't because he chose not to, letting himself be spoiled by playing people, breaking their souls, he wanted some fun until he was done. Worst part is, he succeeded. That concludes the personality of Solaris. Just completely evil, and he likes it, it makes him happy and pleased. But, Mephiles alone; Solaris by mind is physically weak.
This is where we drop to Iblis. The flaming soul of Solaris, and the source of his power. This beast is completely a monster by nature, however, Iblis seems to have no conscience whatsoever, doesn't exactly know what he's doing, like a creature gone rabid or a wild animal who lost control. A soul without a mind is dangerous, especially if you are given such power and only use destruction as an instinct. That is precisely what Iblis did for 200 years. This being built up a form of pure fire and magma to rage upon anything that touches him. Now imagine that on a multiversal scale.
To conclude, Mephiles, physically weak but a master with techniques he can abuse, only relying on others to get what he wants, even when playing his game, a manipulative genius, and psychopathic mind with no soul. And Iblis, the beast with uncontrollable power, relies on his own and let his destruction roam free while maintaining a soul but no mind. Piece the them together you fill the box, you get a twisted, evil, eldritch God that exists everywhere.
Solaris is a true monster, metaphorically, and literally.
It took a while for me to figure this for a bit since there are a lot of Sonic games that deserve the title as the “weakest” Sonic game. But I think it’s Sonic The Hedgehog XBOX 2006 cuz there not much to talk about. It had a good potential before it’s release, but by the time it came out it all go down, not much of a gimmick like other Sonic games, bad execution, NOTHING, there’s not much I could say about this game. Yeah IK I rather watch paint dry than playing Sonic 06.
