I had a thought, what if there was a main line sonic game for the sega saturn, and this is where this post comes in.I would like to see how many things yall can come up with.NOTE:I AM NOT MAKING A GAME.I dont know enough coding to make one.The games i think would be good for this title are
Sonic Saturn
Sonic R
Sonic X-Treme
Sonic world(from Sonic jam)
And finally Sonic adventure
Gameplay wise,i think a mix of R,sonic world, and adventure would sound kind of cool(would be even better if it can run on an actual sega saturn)
If the admin would like for me to take this down and post it on the sonic fanon wiki,i will have this copy and pasted on a notepad
Some stupid Chao garden game where you play as Chao and you have a hub world you can drink soda and talk to other people in... BUT you can also fight to the death in karate ONLINE! basically you can change everything like your stats and appearance and stuff, but they're nerfed to make it not too OP.
Sonic Jam, but it has an actual story. Sonic teams up with a new face? Reused level names from Sonic X-treme.
Sonic CD spiritual successor like Sonic Time Twisted. involves a lot of tedious story elements like non-linear storytelling (BAD IDEA).
Sonic Dream Team PC port. nothing more, nothing less.
Anyways that's basically everything this trainwreck of a post has to offer
The Freedom Fighters (Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, Rotor) (and with Tails) make a cameo in Sonic X-treme (cancelled)?.

Sonic X-treme is the ninth and final issue of the Sonic Specials comic series published by Archie Comics. It was cancelled on 1998, a tie-in to the cancelled video game, Sonic X-treme.
The storyline followed Sonic and the Freedom Fighters on his journey to stop Dr. Robotnik from stealing six magic rings from Tiara Boobowski and her father. X-treme featured open levels rotating around a fixed center of gravity and, like previous Sonic games, featured collectible rings and fast-paced gameplay.
While Sonic is away checking on a security alarm in a remote part of the Great Forest, his pals (Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, Rotor, Tails and Knuckles) have discovered a strange message from within one of Robotnik's super computers.
Well, we'd have one more female main character for one thing. Not sure how Sally and Tiara would co-exist, hopefully not in a love triangle with Sonic.
Micro Mobius, alongside Tiara and Gazebo, were originally created for Sonic Mars back when the project was still intended as a tie-in game to the Archie Comics and Sonic the Hedgehog (TV series).
When Mars was moved from the 32X to the Saturn and became Sonic X-treme, the setting of Micro Mobius, and much of Kosaka's setting, were dropped from the project entirely.
Robotnik's SWATbots were set to make a return as enemies. Additionally, the series staple of Animal-powered Badniks has been replaced with the concept of Mips, the inhabitants of Micro Mobius who are being captured and used for the same purpose.
in which the Freedom Fighters intercept a distress call from the virtual reality world of Micro Mobius. Soon, Sonic returns from a patrol to find Knothole Village destroyed by Robotnik's Raiderbots, and his friends captured. He quickly makes his way to Robotnik's lair, where he accidentally gets teleported into Micro Mobius.
Nack the Weasel was return planned in Micro Mobius.
On the page for Sonic X-treme's development, it talks about the famous factoid of "They used the NiGHTS engine without permission, and Yuji Naka threatened to pull out if they did".
However, that event...didn't happen.

https://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_Xtreme_FAQ_by_Chris_Senn_(2008-12-23)#ENGINE_questio
Both Yuji Naka and the lead developer of Sonic X-treme itself say they never used the NiGHTS engine proper, with Chris Senn saying they only used an engine that looked similar to it and Naka saying he never shared it at all. As a wiki, this kind of misinformation should be taken off the page for Sonic X-treme (and other pages where relevant), especially since outside of the wiki it is used to damage the public perception of Yuji Naka. I would do it myself, but the paragraphs about it are extensive and could intertwine with true information, so I don't want to delete them blindly.
Imo, kinda sad that it got canned. Probably would have been great.
I thought about it and I came to the idea of having Sonic X-treme being canon.
Now hear me out, I am aware the game is canceled since the 90s but SEGA owns the right to all of the things within it, probably not Tiara Boobowski but I may be wrong.
Sonic X-treme latest draft of the story can be rework into a Classic Sonic story for IDW's Sonic comics.
Like this game has 5 to 6 plot concepts to work with for a comic adaption.
What you guys think?
So I found this on Twitter and it shows that the spin slash from sonic X-Treme is in sonic frontiers.
the footage comes from the brazil sonic symphony.

Also on a somewhat relatable note, some artwork of Tiara I did has been added to the cancelled banner. Go check out Sonic X-treme's page if you don't belive me
Hello there SNN
I've noticed that the banners have changed since my last visit. Even if they're not quite my taste, I'm fine with them...except for one : the banner for cancelled media. Tails is adorable and all, but I don't think he really fits with the banner' subject, what is the link between him and games/comics/etc that never happened? I kinda miss the Sonic X-Treme boxart on it because Sonic X-Treme was such a monument of cancelled video games, a big element of many ones imaginations about the subject, and an important subject to the Sonic fandom for a while (just think about the Sonic Retro era where so many people wanted to know more about it and discuss it or even try to recreate it/make it functional again). Removing such an iconic tie is removing a connection with a big swath of Sonic fandom history in my eyes.
However it doesn't necessarily need to go back to that specific image of a Sonic X-Treme boxart specifically. If you guys want a Sonic character to sort of standardize the aesthetics of banners, and I do understand the desire for change, why not pick instead a Sonic character linked with the subject of cancelled media, cancelled characters in other words. It could be Tiara Boobowski or a Metal Sonic cancelled design or something like that, wouldn't it fit better and be cooler? What do you all think?
Man, I'm glad these were fixed though Sonic X-treme was cancelled.

What would happen if Sonic X Treme was finished and released and turned out to be a success?
