Yeah, too bad Ken Penders had to decanonize this, because the only character he owned that was in this story was Frair Buck. Everyone else was made by Ian Flynn (and a few fan-favourites even made their debut here!)

Is it just me, or are the Prelates kinda like Pokémon?
They can only "say" their name and they get summoned from their "cores" which are also sphere-shaped (like Poké-Balls).

We got a monthly comic story in Sonic's universe about Sonic's friends that didn't even have Sonic in it, and it realeased alongside the main series.
The art and story was consistantly good, and it let us see more of Sonic's Universe (drum riff)
I hope we get stuff like this again in the future
