Sonic Rush, Rush Adventure and 3ds Colors. This is where its at, and its all just being forgotten when it doesn’t have to be. These games ARE(at least in my opinion) the pinnacle of 2d Sonic games. Sonic Rush/Colors manages to fuse the feeling of both Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic perfectly at the same time, the music is God-tier and the level design is amazing. Go watch a gameplay of it, I’m telling yall these games are where its at.
The fact that these games are 2d would make this such a amazing port as well, I strongly believe they should really give us either a continuation or should a remaster of this game and it would fit so well with Modern fans expectation of Sonic games.
Out of all the games that I thought should be rereleased, none I think deserve one more than this series

Explanation Concept? Personally, i've been craving for mixing Marine the Racoon and Sticks the Badger eversince they both had similar colours and themes, so why don't try to mix them? (pls Sega notice me😂)
(i finally remember my password fr) Anyway here's a Blaze fanart.
Improvement? yes sir. (New wm, old wm kinda sucks)

I can only think of 2 reasons why they don't:
1. They didn't have the budget.
2. They either never thought of or bothered with it.

This is gonna be a fun ride...
I think I've conquered the hardest S rank in the game, and it's on level 1.
Yes, the S rank requirement for Plant Kingdom - Act 1, I'm convinced was put there for a joke. As you are required to play the stage PERFECT. No mistakes in the slightest. If you miss the boost at the start, or run into a wall, or miss a jump, or bounce on a mushroom you weren't supposed to at any point, you've lost.
You need to brush up on your performance to the point where you are shaving off milliseconds in order to make the 1 minute time limit for the S rank.
Act 2 and Ghost Rex I did on my first try.
Hi, everyone! While I'm working on the IDW Character Analysis for the current characters, I also want to do casual Sonic Posts where I discuss certain topics in Sonic media. So, since my first official game was Sonic Rush, I'm taking a look into Blaze to Cat today. You saw the title, and here's the post. So, here we go!
Introduction
Blaze the Cat is the pyrokinesis princess from the Sol Dimension. When I first saw the character in Sonic Rush, she got my attention immediately. Her responsibilities of wanting to protect her dimension from the Eggmen, her pirouettes turning into flaming tornado in gameplay, plus her blazing glide, her main theme, Vela-Nova, I could go on. This character is amazing, but you saw the title; is her story concluded? I know. It's a controversial take, but I have had this on my mind for a while. She was like Shadow to me in SA2, meant to appear for a certain time in the Sonic series before moving on to the next story. Blaze the Cat never felt like her character took a step back, unlike Shadow, who's going through a resurgence with Sonic X Shadow Generations and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Her character was consistent and great to me. The only moment I can think of when the fans call her out was with how she treated Marine before Pirates' Island, and even that moment has its share of defenders. It's why I wonder if her story's complete.
Sonic Rush
In Sonic Rush, Blaze has a similar premise to Knuckles; she's the guardian of a powerful gem and is devoted to her duties. However, unlike Knuckles, she was feared by the children of her dimension as a child because of her powers and had to grow up early because of her royal position. The chain of events leads her to be anti-social and unfamiliar with the concept of friends. However, when the Eggmen invade her home and steal the Sol Emeralds, she's forced to leave her home and ends up in Sonic's Dimension. In that time, she meets Cream the Rabbit, who's she perplexed by because of her peppy and cheerful personality. Because of her interactions with Cream, she's able to open up and start to understand the meaning of friends more. It's what makes the moment when the Sol Emeralds light up before the final battle with the Eggmans more impactful. Blaze's feelings of being surrounded by Cream and friends and wanting to protect them bring forth the Sol Emeralds' Power, causing her to transform into Burning Blaze. After defeating the Egg Salamander with Super Sonic, she has to depart because she says, "The Chaos and Sol Emeralds cannot exist in the same world. It would cause another crisis." Reading her lines here, it was like Shadow here. Her story had reached its conclusion, and what a finale it was. Blaze's backstory and how she saw herself in a royal position needed a change. Traveling to Sonic's world and meeting him, Cream, and their friends, she's grateful for such an encounter. She hopes that they will meet again, and they do, in Sonic Rush Adventure.
Sonic Rush Adventure
In Sonic Rush Adventure, she and Sonic meet again, and she doesn't go through that much character development. Her role in Sonic Rush was fulfilling enough for her character, and what happened in that game changed Blaze for the better. She sees Sonic as a close friend whom she can rely on, Tails as a reliable ally and Marine. Remember the moment when Sonic fans called out Blaze for being too harsh on Marine? Well, I like this moment in Blaze's character, and her calling Marine a nuisance in this game is justified to me. It's a good character flaw because she learns to be more considerate of Marine at the end of the game. But you probably saw this coming. Marine is, well, here's a list of reasons people don't like Marine.
Repeatedly running off and playing in unknown environments without her companions
Ignores her companions when they are trying to look after her
She claims Plant Kingdom as Marine Island like she owns the place
Treats Sonic and Tails as assistants in the first three worlds of the game
She doesn't pay attention when danger is nearby, like in Machine Labyrinth, The Pirates, etc.
It's been a while since I played the game, and I rewatched some cutscenes to ensure my info was accurate. The list I made is just from the first three zones. Marine acts too high and mighty for her good, and Blaze calls her a nuisance at the end of Blizzard Peaks/Sky Babylon. I've got no qualms with it because Marine does take it to heart and grow from it as a result, and Blaze grows from it, too. That's enough about Marine, back to Blaze. Sonic Rush Adventure does a great job showing her familiarity with her homeland, how tactical Blaze is in a situation, and her role in the finale against the Egg Wizard; it's awesome! Blaze has to say goodbye to Sonic and Tails again, but they believe they will meet again, bringing the story of Blaze and Sonic Rush Adventure all together.
Sonic 06
Sonic 06, I won't waste your time here; time travel is a convoluted plot point; it retcons Blaze's origins to introduce Silver, with no recollection of the events of Sonic Rush. Yeah, I heard it all before. However, Blaze is written well in this game. Whenever Silver feels like what he's doing doesn't have a point, she acts as his big sister figure and guides him back on track. She's collected and diligent; she never strays from her and Silver's goal to restore the future while looking out for him. Her sacrifice in Silver's story hits home because her goal to defeat Iblis wasn't just to restore their timeline; she wanted to make Silver happy again.
Archie Comics
Blaze's story in the games had its conclusions with the Sonic Rush Duology and Sonic 06, each satisfyingly bringing the character full circle. Even in Archie, while Blaze's appearances were limited, she completed her journey of searching for the Sol Emeralds before the reboot. She learns to accept the value of friends and be true to herself, like in the Sonic Rush games, and it allows her to Burning Blaze once more to stop Captain Metal from taking over her dimension and others. Her roots in Archie Comics are the same as the games, except Cream doesn't play much of a role in her game origins this time. Cream interacts with Blaze in the comics, and it's fine in arcs like Pirate Plunder Panic. However, with SEGA mandates surrounding Cream and her late appearance in Archie, it's a shame that Cream got cut from Blaze's game origins since she plays a major role in getting her to accept she's not alone and can count on friends in the games. Still, what we got of Blaze is just as good as the games: a dutiful warrior dedicated to her duty of protecting the Sol Emeralds.
What’s Next?
So what's next for Blaze? Does there need to be anything more because each game and the Archie comics concluded her story so well, and her character is always on point. Even in the 2010s, Team Sonic Racing did great with her character with her interactions with Amy and her keeping a lookout for suspicious activity with Dr. Eggman and Dodon Pa. Well, the one thing I want with Blaze that would bring her character full circle is one last reunion/adventure with Cream the Rabbit. It doesn't have to be a grand adventure with the Eggmen causing trouble, just getting to know each other better while exploring the sights of Sonic's world like in IDW Sonic Issue 63 with Sonic.
If that was her conclusion, I happily accept that as the end to one of the best Sonic characters, and that's a good thing. Look at Tikal the Echidna. Her story concluded at the end of Sonic Adventure when she and Chaos lived in peace to watch over the Chao they had protected. She still makes appearances and is sometimes playable in games like Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Runners, but her role has concluded. Despite that, she is loved by many because of her engaging story and character.
What I hope for with Blaze the Cat.
If SEGA has an intriguing idea that they believe will capture the fans' interest in Blaze and expand on her character further, I gladly welcome it. I still want more Blaze the Cat because she's one of the best Sonic characters to me, even one of my favorites. Yet, it's hard to let go and say goodbye to something you love. Blaze's story felt concluded to me with the Sonic Rush Duology, Sonic 06, and even the Archie comics. IDW even shows that she's defeated all her enemies, presumably with Captain Whisker, Johnny, and the other pirates gone. She's now taking a vacation in Sonic's world and assisting when there's a crisis. She's earned her reward, and it's now time for her to enjoy herself. Blaze has completed her missions, and all I ask of her character is one last reunion/adventure with Cream the Rabbit. Her character arc is superb; why drag it out further until it loses its charm? That's how I feel about Blaze's character. What do you guys think? Do you think Blaze the Cat is a concluded character? Do you want her story to continue? These are my opinions, and I'm curious what yours are below. Thanks for reading!

Model nerds like I am wish that the cutscene models of Sonic Rush Adventure were ripped to TMR...
Before you say anything, the models overall (not the mesh) are slightly different from each other. (Different textures, plus the expressions)
There’s a slight difference between the neutral mouth textures for in-game and cutscene.
Which is why I’m working on a side project to make my own version of these textures, but separated for more expression rather than one that affects the whole head. Which means the eyes will be its own texture and the mouth will too.
However, my Chromebook is dead (and the charger hates me right now), and it’s pretty hard to do this on iPhone/iPad.
But still, I hope this’ll be good and you’ll enjoy it when it comes out.
