After rewatching Knuckles again, I do like the chemistry between Knuckles and Wendy. Their interactions were a bright spot in the series' low point.

So, on Paramount Knuckles' page, in the trivia section, it mentions a scrapped storyline where Knuckles was captured by an alien species, tied to a grinding grain and was forced to push it for years (as a means of explaining why he's so strong).
Now comes the fun part: This exact scene was done years ago in the movie Conan the Barbarian, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Want proof?
