Do you think other than Knuckles Clan and Nocturnus Clan there were other echidna clans? Pachacamac did mention he fought a war against them so I imagine he was not popular amongst the other echidna clans.

Also, wouldn't they be more of a "tribe" than a "clan"?

Either way, I like to imagine Sandopolis had its own tribe of echidna, with places such as Regal Ruin, Wild Canyon and Dry Lagoon being within Sandopolis territory. (Hidden Base, Sand Ocean, Pyramid Cave, Death Chamber and Egg Quarters could all take place in one of the known pyramids of Sandopilis, or perhaps THE pyramid from Sandopolis Zone, act 2, just refurbished.)

Just as Knuckles Clan' culture and architecture were based on the Aztecs, the Sandopolis Clan echidnas based their culture after the ancient Egyptians.

I thought of this game over the weekend, where someone describes a Ken Penders echidna to me, and I try to guess it, so I'm doing that.

Echidna:

These are the Echidnas from the Sonic the hedgehog franchise brought into d&d. In the sonic universe the echidnas play many different roles, in the games Knuckles is the last echidna in existence, while in the Archie comics there are many.

Physical appearance:

Echidnas lack visible ears, and have varying hair styles. Some echidnas have naturally occurring symbols or patterns on their body. They are normally a shade of red, brown, or purple but can be many colors.

Gullible but not unintelligent:

Some Echidnas are known for being gullible, but most echidnas are somewhat intelligent. Echidnas vary widely in terms of alignment, some are warlike and driven by anger, fear, or pure chaos. While others are wise or peaceful. Several clans of Echidnas exist in the sonic universe, some good others evil.

Echidna names:

Male names: knuckles, Pachacamac, Mykol, Remington, Gawain

Female names: Tikal, Shade, Julie-su, Lara-le

Echidna traits:

Stonecunning: whenever you make an intelligence (history) check related to the origin of stonework, you are considered proficient in the history skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus.

Sharpness: you have proficiency with the spear, shortsword, and battleaxe

Size: height is around 3 feet and 7 inches tall, weight is around 88 pounds. Your size is small.

Ability score increase: your strength or wisdom score increases by 1

Speed: your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Language: you can speak, read, and write in common.

Speak with small beasts: Through sounds and gestures, you can communicate simple ideas with small or smaller beasts.
