Doctor Ivo Robotnik (Sonic the Comic)

Here's a question for everyone who grew up with Sonic the Comic (all three of us for all I know), why didn't/hasn't Dr. Robotnik regenerate into his Eggman body by now?

Kinda funny now that I think of it. ArchieSonic shows that after the original Robotnik's death, a roboticized version of Robotnik from another Mobius pretty much took his place, was destroyed, his conscious uploaded into the Eggman body and was eventually deroboticized etc.

FleetwaySonic just had Dr. Robotnik turn into an egg.

You'd think around StC#175 Dr. Robotnik would've decided that after his major loss of Shanazar it's time for a renewal. Instead, he just gave up and let his mind fester into insanity. I figure he would eventually regenerate during StC-O as a mean to "fix his brain", but instead he's hooked up to the Egg Bastion. Given how slow StC-O's updates are, I sort of lost the plot since then.

So, why hasn't Dr. Robotnik regenerated?

We know that Dr. Eggman Robotnik is the main villain in every Sonic the Hedgehog games, but what if Robotnik would get absent for while from the next Sonic games in the future, if Sega felt that Robotnik is too overuse (plus for the fact I learned from one video that he seemly isn’t the best villain like he used to)? Or does that happened before? If yes, then what games that didn’t involve Eggman and who are the villains replaced him?

Is there any particular reason they decided to have Dr. Robotnik change from using his Classic design to using the AoStH design in Sonic the Comic?

Like, he somehow manages to encase himself in an actual egg, and then he later hatches out of it and his design suddenly changes. It seems kind of random.

It's mah boi, The EGGMAN!

Picture if you will, a Sonic adaptation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. With Ovi Kintobor as Dr. Jekyll and Dr. Robotnik/Eggman as Mr. Hyde. Even if I've made it no secret of my disdain of that lazily reversed name, and non-canon info. I still would like to see this as a fan fiction. Foot note: "Kintobor" also sounds like a fake German name. "Guten tag, mine name ish Kintobor".

It's always funny to have Eggman around, but I'm a bit dissapointed that this year you guys didn't go all the way for this joke. All the boxes on the main page could have been replaced by images related to Eggman (like putting Sonic on the Vilains tab or Eggmanland in the stage tab). Heck, the Sonic Fanon affiliation link could have been modified to include something of the like "don't go over there, an army of Avatar OC are multiplying themselves to grow the ranks of that pesky futile Resistance...unless you want to write some delightful poetry about your great leader of course"
