To me, he does a pretty neat Sonic impression while adding his own spin on the character. It’s also nice to have another black VA voicing him since Jaleel White, Sonic’s first and original English VA
In case you don't know, Deven Mack is gonna voice Sonic in the upcoming Sonic Prime series coming to Netflix later this year. I have high hopes that he is gonna be up there with Ryan and Jason as amazing voices for Sonic. For one, from the few clips we see, he sounds like a nice blend between Jason and Ryan, but a bit more laid back, which actually works quite well. Another thing to note is, he's a really good voice actor. He was the voice of Rockoon in TOME, as well as the voice for a bunch of characters in Bakugan. He is a really good and absolutely talented voice actor who deserves more roles outside of cheap Canadian cartoons, given his amazing start on Newgrounds.
