Right when the race starts:
Superman: go ahead, Ill get agead of you all just fine. My speed is irrelevant.
Barry Allen: pfff, no yiu guys do it, ill wipe the floor with you. I’m the fastest man alive, no beating that.
Wally West: The universe cant even handle my top speed. Get as much of a head start as you want, you sinply cant beat me.
Sonic: Heh. CHAOS CON-
After reading 4 of the 5 issues of the DC crossover, I'm starting to think it was kinda overhyped. I expected this to be an epic adventure of the two teams joining forces to stop a massive, world-ending threat, possibly an alliance between the villains of both franchises. And that's exactly what we got... for the first 2 issues. Issues 3 and 4 made me realize what this saga really is: a sugar rush of endless fanservice that overshadows the actual stakes. There's just way too much of the Sonic characters meeting a DC character, fight, get the Chaos Emerald, and then onto the next one. "HEY, LOOK! IT'S THIS CHARACTER! REMEMBER THIS DC CHARACTER! THAT'S BLANK FROM THE HIT VIDEO GAME, BLANK!" That's pretty cool and all, the first 2 issues had that too, but there was still the looming threat that all the heroes needed to focus on. But in the last two issues, the plot is just lost! There almost isn't a story! It's more like interactions between Character AI chat bots put into comic form one after another. It's cool to see these characters meet and all, but the comic is so bloated with the stuff, that it distracts from the main narrative and completely kills the stakes. Without spoiling much, you could almost skip from issue 2 to 5 and miss very little. I read a Sonic cross Spider-Man FANFICTION with WAY more narrative focus and almost if not just as much fanservice. This somehow feels more like a fanfic. And to think I was once hoping DC would make a straight-to-dvd movie out of this. If they do, they'll need to rewrite a great bit because this cannot function as a screenplay.
Also, I've always been a defender of Ian Flynn's work. I really like a lot of his stuff and I don't think he deserves the hate he's been getting from some fans. But HOLY GOSH he took the reference dialogue too far in this. I excused it in previous arcs because it was a new thing that we hadn't seen much of in Sonic media. I excused it in Frontiers and Generations because I thought it fit those games' contexts. But this is the first time it has felt truly forced to me. It's like Ian just can't help himself when the opportunity arises. The reference dialogue works when it can be taken as normal dialogue in-universe. When Metal Sonic says, "Come, show me what you're made of," it's not just a reference to What I'm Made Of, it's also just a sick-ass line in general. But with these references, it's so obvious that they're references because they don't sound like something the character would say, like Eggman saying, "It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Superman!" Why would Eggman mistake Superman for a bird, on his radar no less?! 300 IQ my foot! I hate to say it, but this might have turned out better if they got someone that was less than a super-fan to write it.
Anyway, there's still one issue left. I don't see it living up to the hype, but we'll wait and see.

So my Idea was to have an entirely different take than DC x Sonic, it would be 2 part, 16 issues total. first part is seven issues the second is 9. it would be as packed as possible. Basically I just came up with some ideas of how Sega and Marvel would do something like this, heres what I thought up so far. perhaps @Mystic Monkey has some...?
Ive been reading the current Spiderman and Dr. Doom ones, so I know a handful of things that are currently going on in the marvel-verse.
Lemme know if you have any ideas.
Written by Ian Flynn, Evan Stanley and Jason Aaron (one of the best longtime Marvel writers)
Art by Adam bryce Thomas, Evan Stanley and Tyson Hesse (combined and swapping artstyles every 4 issues)
Colors by Matt Herms and Mike Spicer (the latter known as the best Marvel colorist)
Act 1 synopsis:
A devastating multiversal disruption causes holes to begin erupting, and earth ___ to erode, creating collasal rifts to the world of... Sonic the hedgehog!
The Avengers and X Men, with aid from the fantastic Four, and Emporor Doom in search of the mystical power that seems to be linked tto the erosion between both worlds: the chaos Emeralds.
After briefly mistaking the heroes for invaders, the heroes (and villians) of Sonic's world team up with them to save both thier worlds and perhaps the multiverse.
Act 2:
The cataclysmic battle with Galactus results in five Chaos Emaralds being scattered around the multiverse and the dissapearance of Dr. Strange and the Master Emerald.
With help from the Reveree and the now unstable Sol emeralds, Sonic and his friends along with heroes across the Marvel universe must locate the Infinity Stones as thier final hope in order to turn back the tables of time before multiversal corruption erases all existence.
Meanwhile, Dr. Doom has possession of the missing Chaos Emerald, which he plans to use to harness the situation….
The comic takes place post frontiers, to make full use of the charracters and all their canon abilities. It will include all the Sonic characters in the franchise. In the Marvel universe this follows the current main series (or at least a universe like it) and takes place a short while after Dr. Doom has become Earth’s ruler and become sorcerer supreme. Act 1 will follow the Avengers and X-Men, Fantastic Four helping in the background and the main current Sonic cast with some appearances from extended cast from both universes. As a subplot, the holes in the universe will have Marvel villians taking advantage of it and causing mayhem by using the portals to quickly traverse to other places in both universes. At the end of Act 1 in the fight with Galactus the Gaurdians of the Galaxy will join in and Sonic Shadow and Silver will turn super to lead the charge in taking down Galactus.
This is further used as a major part of Act 2, villains from different universes and points in time cause havok for Sonic’s friends and the Marvel heroes to have to contain while the main cast are searching for the Stones. The Deadly 6 also will also have a part of an issue when they invade New York City IDW characters also will be a major part of Act 2, if possible Act 2 will also bring in elements and characters from the storybook series taking advantage of the multiverse aspect, also Eggman could upgrade Metal Sonic to his Neo form halfway through for extra firepower (and fan service, Neo using Marvel Powers would be sick.)
A few of my ideas for the superhero team-ups are having Team Dark, after having a skirmish with them, team up with the X-Men. Also, Tangle and Whisper could team up with the Gaurdians of the Galaxy (Whisper and Rocket rivalry) to fight Modok and his forces or a bunch of symbiotes. Tails and Tony Stark of course, Tony basically adopting Tails because he adores him so much, Tony and Eggman rivalry would be great too.
Many artists and writers for mini stories and variant covers would happen as well, a handful of the variant covers having Sonic characters as Marvel superheroes.

DC x Sonic before DC x Sonic
Can someone tell me which comic this is from?
the abandoned casino is riddler's hideout.
After reading the recent comic issue a while ago, this guy ain't wrong. DC Comics made the crossover darker and well developed than Mark couldn’t.
I talked about this to people a while back and I wanted to point out here
Some people were complaining Flash and Sonic not being able to escape the Omega Beams showed their speed was downplayed in DC X Sonic. That’s not necessarily true logically. in fact, it shows they were moving at INSANELY high speeds.
TLDR: If you play a game of tag in a 10 foot range against someone who’s decently fast, can keep eyes on you and is very agile, it doesnt matter how much faster you are, you’re going to have to keep moving in order to avoid them.
Flash (Barry Allen) and Superman fought Darkseid once, he fired his Omega beams and Flash and Superman ended up running laps all through a city trying to escape them, when Flash finally phased through one of Darksied’s minions to get it to hit him instead, Flash was exhausted and had to catch his breath before running again.
The Omega beams could’ve been going anywhere between faster than sound to light speed, probably far faster than sound seeing that they exhausted Flash.
That being said, Omega beams also have extreme maneuverability, they don’t slow down or change speed while turning, and they move to the precise target with high efficiency.
Seeing Sonic and Flash were running around in a very small area, 20 yards at most, Omega Beams would get wherever they run in an instant with how fast they are. Which means Sonic and Flash would HAVE to keep moving to avoid them.
That actually proves in order to run ahead of the Omega Beams in such a short distance they were going many, many times faster than Barry was. Especially that one panel where we see Sonic moving only a few feet at a time, even in the air, and still avoiding the Omega Beam shows he was moving possibly even lightspeed since he was staying about a foot away from the beam, and it shows he has unreal control of his speed to be able to maneuver like that being able to decelerate that quickly and make turns that precisely.

I can't remember if I said it here, but after #2 of DC X Sonic the Hedgehog, I was CERTAIN Shadow blamed himself for everything. One look at the preview pages we got for #3(which comes out the 21st) PROVES ITTTTTT
I SAID IT
IDK why I'm going nuts over something this small, but hey-I'm a Shadow dork.
It's what I do.
