One thing I find kind of weird about Sonic Superstars is the fact that the Battle Mode where you create your own Metal Fighter to fight other people is never really talked about or brought up whenever people talk about this game.
Wether you like the game or not, most people I see really only talk about the main campaign (myself included), and although that is obviously the main meat of the game, it is weird how the Battle Mode is barely ever talked about or shown being played by most people who played the game (believe me, I have played the game and never really bothered with the Battle Mode). What makes it weirder is the fact that this mode was heavily shown off in the marketing before the game released (even more so than most of the actual Zones beyond the first two ones and Cyber Station Zone), and despite that nobody really talked or cared about the mode.
For me personally, it is an interesting idea, but I feel like it could have been fleshed out a bit more (and it did sort of feel like they just slapped an entirely separate smaller game onto Sonic Superstars just cause). I don’t think it made the game worse, but it didn’t really make the game better either.
