Am I being gaslit right now? All this time I've known Sonic 1 as an American release first. "June 23rd, June 23, June 23." Yet apparently, I missed the fact that it released two days earlier in the PAL region? I had to double-check on both this wiki and Wikipedia and they both say it released on the 21st in the UK. One of three possibilities are afoot here.
A: I've been ignorant this whole time of this specific factoid
B: Someone's pulling an elaborate cross-wiki hoax in attempt to rewrite history (for some reason)
or C: I've been Mandela Effected into a slightly alternate reality where everything is the same except for the manner of how the first Sonic game was released
To be honest, part of me is believing that third one.
