Idk, never read them that much.
Idk, never read them that much.
But I would redesign the echidnas, like Julie Su to have some sort of echidna headband, or even rename some of the characters!
Make them not exist.
I may go into the individual arcs later, but here are some general flaws I’d fix:
Have Archimedes and Locke contrast more as mentors. Locke could stay the same, but Archimedes could actually tell Knuckles more, explaining what’s going on to him. Otherwise there’s no point in having both if they act the same.
Following that, take away the superfluous mentors, all the ants besides Archimedes can go, and I think the only guardians necessary are Locke and Spectre, Sabre could stay, but Thunderhawk and Sojourner don’t need to be there. Tobor and Hawking can be around for the arcs where they’re necessary but die afterward.
Make the Dark Legion more evil, and the dingoes less evil. They’re both in a weird grey area. As much as I’d like to make both groups sympathetic, I know that the echidnas are supposed to be the heroes so I won’t.
Have Knuckles access his Chaos Powers in more natural ways.
Have the Chaotix play more of a role, include them in important storylines more often instead of getting sidelined nonstop.
Treat Vector as something other than an offensive stereotype.
Give Julie-Su more of a personality.
Have more variety in the character designs.
^WDYM Vector's an offensive stereotype.
His personality under Penders is basically a black stereotype.
Oh.
I guess I should also explain why I’d keep Spectre and Sabre, I’ve found Sabre to be the most distinct out of all the old pricks up in Haven, so having him as a foil to Locke who disagrees with him more often justified his inclusion. In contrast, I’d keep Sabre as the one who sticks closer to Locke, enabling his poor parenting. Other Guardians have had moments similar to that, but I really think we only need one character each for that
What do you think?
