Racing Johnny on Sonic Rush Adventure

First, PLEASE do not be rude. If anyone is rude to me here I am leaving forever.

Second, no, the game has not arrived yet, but I am starting to wish I hadn't ordered it now.

I started watching a playthrogh video of it, and while the first race looked easy and the second looked manageable, I am less worried about beating him seven times than finding him.

This player drew a line (which I know are where to set the course for with your boats) to a seemingly random spot that didn't look telegraphed anywhere. At the end of that trip, Johnny appeared. This player is a professional and knew where to find him.

So, how do you find Johnny? Is it some random spots you would never know unless you had a guide? Is it as Guide Dang It as in FFX where you have to enter specific coordinates that the game never tells you to find that cave from near the beginning again? Or is there something I'm missing?

Of the four games on their way, this is the one I have the least confidence in. If beating Johnny won't be the difficult part, finding him will from the sound of things. I don't think I'll be able to complete my goal. Unless I get a reassuring answer, when it arrives I'm selling it to the nearest Game City.

I’ve never played Rush Adventure but I will say this.

Just try it. Maybe it’ll be horrible, maybe it won’t, you won’t know until you play it, right? And besides, even if one aspect of a game is bad, that doesn’t mean it ruins the whole thing. So my advice? Don’t worry about it, just try and play it.

After all, you wont get any happiness in life if you don’t try stuff just because one small thing might be bad.

Is this about Mr. Joker and what he's doing here? If it is, don't worry. There will be others who will be respectful towards you. You might have differing viewpoints, but they'll understand what you have to say and be courteous towards you.

As for your question, I played Sonic Rush Adventure and have beaten all the Johnny Races. The sixth and seventh are challenging, but if I could beat Johnny as a kid, I'm sure you can do a better job than I did before. If you want to find Johnny, it's best to look at a video to see where to find him because the spots are specific. It's not tedious to find him, at least to me, and the game has plenty of content to keep you busy with the sixteen hidden islands, but a guide can make it faster for you. Also, the game allows you to pummel Johnny later as a boss if you ever want to deliver a bit of payback.

Have confidence in yourself and keep pushing forward. A bit cliché, but it's true.
