This is what AI thinks cream is 😭
(i mean i did say This is what AI thinks cream is so i guess it counts as stating it was AI art)

Also, in a way, "digital art" is something we had for decades yet in a way it's AI generated.
For example:
Open MSPaint
Click the circle tool.
Hold down shift and use Mouse1 to drag across the screen to create a circle.
There you go, a perfect circle. You'd normally need to draw around a mug in order to make a perfect circle on paper.
Click the "Fill" tool.
Choose a colour.
Click in the circle.
Now you not only coloured the circle a full solid colour but perfectly to the very edge of the circle. Something that requires a lot of effort and skill to do on paper with colouring pencils, or precision with paint on canvas.
These days, we have PhotoShop and other art programs that allow us to use these shortcuts to utilize quality pictures we can not normally do by hand, yet most digital artists rarely credit the program they use to make it.
But despite the advantages, precision and convenience of digital art, there is still a market for traditional art.
In fact, digital art programs were thought to be the death of art altogether. Even photography was thought to be the same!
I reckon the creative community's animosity towards AI is because of the general fear of new technology. I'm sure they'll find a way to make peace with AI as time goes on, like they did for photography and digital art. (I read that expressionist and abstract act flourished as artists sought to express art in new ways once photography made replication of real life much more efficient than mere art.)
I'm sure human-made art is still valuable because once people discover something is AI-generated, they'll not be so impressed. (That may mean capitalism is the real issue here, as that economic system is often in favor of money instead of humans.) Also, humans can only create something new; AI just learns from previous patterns.
"You may create AI models based on my pre-existing art, but the only way to get art made the PrincessPandaWay is by commissioning me. You may try to replicate my personality, but you'll have to steal my brain first."
I remember when home television was invented, they thought it be the death of cinema.
I imagine people, thought the same with cinema over theatre productions.
It will be the same for AI generated art. It's flashy and convenient but can't beat quality art. But will still be there for quick fixes.

@Mystic Monkey Can we ban AI on here please, it really makes me uncomfortable
I hate AI. The only time I don’t mind it is when it’s used for [sheet]posting.
Finally Joker, something I agree with.
These feel oddly nostalgic for some reason

I'm pretty sure we had proposal threads to ban AI art threads in the past, and they didn't come to past before. But you can always start a new thread on Wiki Issues/Changes if you want.
What do you think?
