Hi, Sonic Wiki Zone. I'm here with a different post today concerning the community's behavior as of late. Recently, they're been several posts that have made users uncomfortable and upsetting them. A user who was passionate about doing art of different Sonic characters, PrinceOfHeartsArts left the wiki recently because they didn't feel safe here, and I feel like this needs addressing. We must make users feel welcome here and ensure this is a fun place to discuss Sonic content. Not everyone here is 18 or older (13 is the minimum age for FANDOM), and we should avoid making users feel uneasy here.
Another issue I want to address is communication. Everyone has different ways of expressing comments and posts; some are small, others big, but if there's one thing that all of them have in common is that we want to express our love for Sonic. Kenzcoolz, for example, does Sonic drawings but posts pictures from different Sonic media. Some users get annoyed when they think her posts aren't the best quality, but this couldn't be further from the truth. She has trouble communicating (which is why you see one word or one sentence in her posts), and doing these posts makes her feel happy. However, when the community rags on her because of this, think about how you make that person feel. She isn't the only one here who suffered this. All of us showcase our passion for Sonic differently, and sometimes we won't always understand why one person acts or does what they do. What we can do as a community is be more understanding and analyze the situation first before jumping to conclusions. Mystic Monkey's How to Prevent Drama Page (https://sonic.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000000183890) goes into greater detail and is a good resource to help reach better communication in the community.
Let's actively be more respectful and polite with one another to make this community fun in discussing Sonic content. If you have any comments on the matter, feel free to leave them down below. Thank you for reading.
