I like the mechanics of Lost World, but felt like it needed three speeds rather than just two. One is like walking through treacle, and the other has odd momentum which makes the trickier platforming sections harder than they should be. Still like it though.
I love the Wisps. End of.
Oh right! Yeah, I remember how ridiculous that was! I almost voted that over Wisps, but I guess I will settle on Werehog. The idea was poorly executed, but it had potential.
@Mystic Monkey You think? IMO the Werehog was a terrible idea in the first place, embarrassingly designed, and the picture of it on the cover of Unleashed is possibly the nadir of the series.
Those are all terrible imo
The Werehog offered a brand-new gameplay experience to the Sonic franchise, it was just poorly executed, that's all. The Werehog stages were rather slow and clunky which goes against "gotta go fast" creed sure, but it was a decent combat system and not as broken as most gimmicks usually are.
@Mystic Monkey I don't disagree it was a brand-new play style, I just don't think it's one the series—or indeed the game—needed.
Well, I can see why you think that. I mean, who could have predicted Sonic being a werebeast at the time? And the gameplay was slow and clunky.
But I still prefer it over a button to run, or wisps.
If the Werehog is the best of these then that says something.
I'm not saying it's the greatest... or even the goodest. But in the rank of these three things it tops my list.
For me: Wisps, because their species, colors and powers are various.
What do you think?
