Good day everyone. Today I am nominating Veralann for administrator rights.
Veralann has become an essential part of our wiki. His ideas have helped us increase our presence in the Sonic community and improved our articles for the long term. His behavior is commendable and his contribution to discussion of issues/ideas is fantastic.
It was Vera’s idea for SNN to have a new Twitter account. Older users may remember Journalistic was in control of a Twitter account for the wiki, but since his departure, SNN has not had a presence on the site. This new account is run by multiple people and has already interacted with Sonic contributors like Alan Denton. Thanks to Vera, we now have a social media outlet to share our articles and what is happening on the wiki.
One lingering problem with our game articles has been gameplay footage. We used to have to search youtube for gameplay that did not have commentary, hacks, or promotions in it. Even if we did find a video like that, there was a chance it could be taken down or deleted. Veralann has solved this problem by creating our own youtube channel. Now we can upload high quality gameplay footage to the channel and share the video in the respective article. Plus, by having a youtube channel, it will lead more people to discover our wiki and read our articles. These videos have been produced by Vera as well, showing his commitment to improving our site.
Veralann has also shown to be capable of editing articles and improving the design of the wiki. By having admin rights, Vera will have even more tools to improve the style of the wiki. Veralann has contributed to design discussion before, but with admin rights, he can directly test and improve things. As a moderator on the discord server, Vera has shown restraint and composure with his rights. He will do the same as an admin here.
Overall, Veralann would be a great addition to the administration team. He is sure to have more ideas to make our wiki better. If you agree to this nomination, please comment “Support”. If you do not agree, please comment “Oppose”.
