I think Chaos Zero’s abilities, Emerl’s Ult. abilities, moves used via the Action Gauge, and moves used via the Soul Gauge should all be classified as Chaos powers
Okay, I know that most of you will likely shoot this down because those moves don’t have the “Chaos” prefix in their names, but hear me out.
1. In Sonic 06, the Action Gauge is also referred to as the Chaos Gauge, meaning any attacks used by this gauge should be classified as Chaos Powers. Sure, you can argue that the gauge is only referred to as this with Shadow, but when you consider that the appearance of Shadow’s gauge and it’s functions are absolutely NO different than Sonic and Silver’s gauges, it makes little to no sense to say that Shadow’s gauge uses Chaos energy while Sonic and Silver’s gauges don’t, especially when the latter two have shown to be able to use Chaos energy before.
Another evidence that shows that Sonic & Silver’s Action Gauges use Chaos Energy is by the fact that their Action Gauges can be filled up by picking up Gauge Ups (which have a Chaos Drive icon on them) or by obtaining Chaos Drives on their own by destroying enemies. And Chaos Drives themselves are crystallized Chaos Energy which Gerald
created by studying the Chaos Emeralds.
With all this evidence, I see absolutely no legitimate reason as to why the moves Sonic and Silver use via their Action Gauges shouldn’t qualify as Chaos Powers.
2. Then there’s the issue of Chaos Zero. I think all of his moves also should be classified as Chaos powers. Things like Chaos Impact and Chaos Dolphin. And no, I’m not arguing this just because they have Chaos in their names like Chaos Control. I mean, consider it.
Chaos Powers are abilities that utilize Chaos Energy in them, right? And Chaos Zero himself is made COMPLETELY of liquid Chaos Energy.
This means, no matter what he’s doing, even a basic punch from him, would be a Chaos Power, since his body is made completely of Chaos Energy. That would mean his fist is also Chaos energy, which would make such a punch a Chaos Power. Basically, any move Chaos Zero uses is a Chaos Power because he IS Chaos Energy.
3. Moving on to the Soul Gauge, I think moves that use the Soul gauge should also be classified as Chaos Powers.
It has never even been outright stated that the Chaos Emeralds are needed to use Chaos powers, and this is clearly shown via Lancelot, who uses moves like Chaos Spear and Blast without any access to Chaos Emeralds.
Now this brings up the question of how Lancelot (and Shadow in Multiplayer mode) are able to use Chaos Powers via the Soul gauge. Wouldn’t this mean that the soul gauge itself uses Chaos energy? Otherwise, how would moves like Chaos Blast and Chaos Spear be used?
We clearly see the energy in his Soul Gauge being depleted when he uses his Chaos Punishment (which incorporates various Chaos powers like Chaos Control and Chaos Blast into it). This means the energy used for Chaos Punishment is Chaos energy. And that energy is coming from the Soul Gauge. Which means the Soul Gauge uses Chaos Energy.
4. Emerl is said to be powered by Chaos Emerald energy according to Geral’d Journal in Sonic Battle. This would mean that all of his Ult. attacks are Chaos energy attacks, no?
