<p>first of all, i'd like to say this is a very good question, my little kuzrock. </p><p>You see, a lot people have autism on SNN for some strange reason. But it's not just SNN. Many teenagers like to claim the have autims because its cool and makes them standout and makes them sound deep, and many sonic fans on the internet are teens, so that sums up why all those kiddos in blue shirts and blue shorts are autistic. </p>

<p>Well, I have Aspergers, and I am a Sonic fan. So yeah, #swag. </p>

<p>About your school enjoying Sonic, I'm sure it's just a coincidence. A lot of people like Sonic, so don't worry about it. </p>

<p>I'm pretty sure this doesn't apply to just Sonic, but other children's franchises. I don't think the Sonic fandom is in any way unique for the potential number of fans with Autism it has. </p>

<p>Because autism not only has no physical charecteristics whatsoever, but has sufficiently vague symptoms to allow anyone to be diagnosed with it. Any "fan" of any media can be diagnosed as "autistic." </p>

Wouldn't this apply to any fanbase in general?

<p>My son is 6 and Autistic and he loves Sonic, has zero interest in playing a Sonic game but will watch someone else play it on Youtube. I have also made the connection and came here for that very reason</p>
