Ian Flynn (nacido el 31 de mayo de 1982), también conocido por su nombre en internet, BumbleKing, es un escritor de cómics estadounidense-canadiense. En la franquicia comenzó en el año 2006 como escritor en jefe en el Sonic the Hedgehog #160 de Archie Comics, y duró hasta la cancelación de los cómics en 2017. Actualmente es escritor colaborador de la serie de cómics Sonic the Hedgehog de IDW Publishing y sus derivados.[1][2] También ha escrito dos episodios para la segunda temporada de Sonic Boom y varios cómics relacionados con la serie de videojuegos de Sonic the Hedgehog. Flynn obtuvo la posición de escritor en los cómics de Archie enviando propuestas no solicitadas, después de una larga participación en la creación de cómics no oficiales de Sonic. Flyyn es una persona notable por ser un caso raro de transición de amateur activo a profesional.[3][4]
Flynn no solo ha estado activo con la comunidad de fanáticos desde su contratación en Archie Comics, sino que incluso antes de eso con el sitio ahora desaparecido TSIC (The Sonic Info Center). Obtuvo reconocimiento inicial por un cómic de fans conocido como Other M. Sus historias contienen un uso intensivo de continuidad previa y personajes que regresan. Ian Flynn fue el escritor principal de dos de los cómics de Archie: Sonic the Hedgehog y Sonic Universe.
